Applicants successfully admitted into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) first-degree programs are advised to:
- Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
- Then Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
- Print their original JAMB result slip, (this comes with passport photography attached to it).
- Apply for change of course on the JAMB Portal in case they are offered courses which are different from the ones they initially applied for.
INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS OFFERED PROVISIONAL ADMISSION FOR THE 2026 ACADEMIC SESSION.
Applicants who are offered provisional admission are required to adopt the following guidelines to regularize their acceptance of the offer:
- All identified applicants in the above list are advised to IMMEDIATELY upload their O/Level results into JAMB Portal within one week using a JAMB approved CBT Center and forward the evidence of upload and Admission Status in JAMB CAPS to the Admissions Office. Note that the asterisked applicants’ admission cannot be processed until proper uploading of O/Level results is done.
- Visit the JAMB Portal and accept your admission on CAPSby clicking “Accept Admission”. Applicants who fail to accept their admission on JAMB CAPS would not be issued JAMB Admission Letter and would be deemed as not admitted.
- Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng), log in your JAMB Registration number to generate and download a Payment Invoice which contains a Remitta number, the invoice will allow you to make payment at the UNN Microfinance Bank Or any Commercial Bank.
- With the Payment Invoice, applicants are requested to pay Thirty Thousand Naira (N30,000.00) as acceptance fee. Ensure that the Invoice number is keyed in properly at the Bank and get a confirmation slip containing your Confirmation number and Invoice number.
- Visit the University of Nigeria website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng) again and login to your JAMB Registration Number, the Confirmation Number and Invoice Number, then print the Admission slip and complete the Acceptance Form online.
- then Continue with other fee payments and registration as indicated on the University of Nigeria website.
- Applicants should please note that this admission is provisional.
- If at any time in future, including final year, it is discovered that any applicant does not possess the minimum university and the faculty/departmental entry requirements for the course as prescribed by the Senate of the University, and published in JAMB Brochure, the offer of admission will be withdrawn.
OTHERWISE, UNN potential students can also access their admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by following the procedure outlined below:
- Go to the JAMB admission portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility_/.
- Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
- Scroll down locate and then click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
- Select your Exam yearand enter your registration number in the required format.
- Lastly, click the ‘Check Admission Status‘to access your UNN admission status.

How to check UNN admission list
- Visit the UNN admission portal at www.unn.edu.ng or visit the JAMB admission status portal at www.jamb.org.ng.
- Click on “Check Admission Status” or a similar link.
- Enter your JAMB registration number in the space provided and click on “Check Admission Status.”
- If you have been offered admission, your admission status will be displayed on the screen, along with other details such as the program you have been admitted into and the faculty.
- If you have been offered admission, proceed to accept the admission on JAMB CAPS and pay the acceptance fee on the UNN portal. After payment, print out your admission letter and proceed to the university for physical clearance.
