The History of WinterSkol

As you know, winter is a huge season in Aspen and Snowmass. We can’t wait until fresh powder covers every inch of our mountain town and we can hit the slopes! Wintersköl™ started all the way back in 1951 when locals decided that this season needed to be celebrated in typical Nordic fashion. Now, thousands of people join us each year for four days of fun!

There’s something for everyone during Wintersköl™ in Aspen! The whole family will love watching the fireworks and seeing the snow sculptures. If you’re here with a group of friends, there are plenty of après ski parties to enjoy. There is even a dog fashion show!
