United Nations, Dag Hammarskjöld Journalism Fellowships for Developing Countries

We are pleased to inform you that the Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists is now accepting applications for its 2024 fellowship program from professional journalists.

Journalists between the ages of 25 and 35 who are interested in reporting on international affairs during the first ten weeks of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly are eligible to apply for the fellowships. A daily allowance, as well as travel and lodging in New York, are provided.

About United Nations

The Indigenous Fellowship Programme (IFP)’s English language component was established in 1997. It typically coincides with the annual meeting of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP) and takes place at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland, over the course of four weeks. This training program aims to increase indigenous peoples’ knowledge of international human rights instruments and mechanisms so they can use them to advocate for their communities.
