The exact location of this attraction centre in Akwa Ibom state is Ibeno, a Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State in south-south Nigeria. However, history has it that the title “Ibeno beach” was coined from its location, “Ibeno.”

According to historical sources, Ibeno indigene have been around the beach side since 1200-1500 BC.
