  • Only applications from PTDF partner universities in Malaysia, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France will be accepted for the 2026/24 award. This is due to the fact that these nations will serve the scheme’s objectives best and the scholarship’s high standards can be maintained there.
  • The scholarship portal at scholarship.ptdf.gov.ng contains a comprehensive list of sponsored courses and application forms.

Please make sure you meet the following conditions:

  • Before applying for the scholarship, lecturers must provide a letter from their Vice Chancellors confirming that they are not receiving any other scholarships.
  • They must also possess a National Identity Number (NIN) and complete the NIMC verification (charges apply).
  • Proficiency in computer use and completion of the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC).
  • A First degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) and a good second-degree certificate.
  • A maximum of five-page research proposal on a relevant oil and gas industry topic that includes an introduction, objective, methodology, and data collection method.

M.Sc. candidates:

Please keep in mind the following necessities:

  • A minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) or Second Class Lower (2.2) in the first degree, as well as relevant industry experience.

  • At least five credits at the O/level, including English Language and Mathematics.

  • A recent photograph from a passport
  • Letter of identification from the local government
  • Master’s degree certificate (only for PhD applicants)
