Job Description

• We are looking for for a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer who will be responsible in extracting value from our data and creating artificial intelligence products.
• You will lead all the processes from data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, to training models and deploying them to production. Ideal candidate will also be responsible in creating machine learning models and retraining systems.

Responsibilities

• Identifying valuable data sources and automating data collection processes.
• Studying and transforming data science prototypes as well as designing machine learning systems
• Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
• Combine models through ensemble modeling.
• Present information using data visualization techniques.
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
• Run machine learning tests and experiments
• Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
• Train and retrain systems when necessary
• Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
• Establish new systems and processes and look for opportunities to improve the flow of data.

Requirements

• B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or relevant field.
• 2+ years experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or Data Analyst.
• Coding knowledge and experience with several languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.
• Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
• Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc.
• Experience using web services: Redshift, S3, Spark, DigitalOcean, etc.
• Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
• Experience analysing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Coremetrics, Adwords, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, etc.
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, NiFi, HBASE, HDFS, Kafka, Kudu, etc.
• Experience visualising / presenting data for stakeholders using: Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.
• Have experience and/or interest in delivering analytical projects with top Cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWS (e.g., using Databricks, BigQuery).
