Folarin Balogun, a young player, has received a surprise message from Arsenal legend Olivier Giroud.
This comes after the striker from Arsenal had a great season while on loan at Reims, a French Ligue 1 team.
Before Balogun was allowed to join the Ligue 1 club on loan last summer, he appeared in ten games for the Gunners’ first team.
This season, the 21-year-old has scored 15 goals in the French top flight, four more than Kylian Mbappe.
Giroud said the following in a video message to Balogun that was shown on Canal+: Hey, Gunner, the baby, what’s up? I trust you are well.
I am pleased to see you scoring goals in France’s Ligue 1. I am extremely pleased for you, and you ought to be present.
“Keep going like that. Keep going. Bro, I wish you all the best. Fare thee well.”
