EPL: Willian regrets leaving his former club, saying, “I wish I never left.”

Willian, a Fulham winger, has stated that it was a huge mistake to leave Chelsea.

The Brazilian claimed that he shouldn’t have joined Arsenal from Chelsea nearly three years ago.

After seven trophy-laden seasons at Stamford Bridge, Willian left Chelsea because he was only offered a two-year contract.

Arsenal took advantage of the opportunity, signing him for free and offering him a three-year deal.

Willian had a terrible time in North London and failed to develop under Mikel Arteta’s guidance.

The attacker has been playing well ever since he came back to Fulham from Arsenal, who play at Craven Cottage tomorrow.

He told Sky Sports, when asked if he regretted leaving Chelsea: Yes, I wish I hadn’t left… I tell myself, “I wish I hadn’t left,”
