We are looking for an Assistant Property Manager to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our residents, and the general operations of our real estate business.

The assistant property manager will report to the property manager and perform administrative and organizational duties such as communicating with tenants, collecting rent, doing basic bookkeeping, organizing property viewings and overseeing facility maintenance.

An outstanding candidate will have good communication skills, a talent for business management and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Building positive relationships with prospective and current tenants
  • Create and distribute marketing materials to attract new tenants
  • Preparing and scheduling property viewings, conducting property tours and interviewing prospective tenants
  • Addressing and resolving residents’ questions, concerns and complaints in a timely manner
  • Inspecting property conditions and coordinating maintenance activities
  • Overseeing the timely and successful completion of maintenance requests
  • Managing budgets, accounts, rent collections, and tenant notices
  • Maintain organized and updated resident files and records
  • Report any problems or issues to the property manager

Requirements

  • A degree/diploma holder or equivalent (preferred)
  • Degree in business, management or real estate (preferred)
  • Previous experience in property management
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic Bookkeeping skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
